Day 1 of the Class A State Boys Golf Tournament was held today at Lakeview Golf Course in Mitchell. Landon Weber of Parkston sits atop the leaderboard after shooting a 69. Chase McQuirk of Chamberlain is tied for third as he shot a 71 today. Winner’s top golfer today was Carter Craven as he shot a 79. Winner’s Brody Calhoon shot an 84, while Cooper Craven and Jalen Tideman of Winner each shot an 88, and Gus Tobin of Winner carded an 89. Vermillion has a nine shot lead on Dakota Valley atop the team standings. Winner is 12th as a team.

In the Class AA State Boys Golf Tournament in Aberdeen today, Drew Simon of O’Gorman, along with Asher Dannenbring of Mitchell, and Jalen Dwire of Harrisburg finished atop the leaderboard as all three guys shot a 70. Lincoln is atop the team standings, while Harrisburg and Brandon Valley are second and third respectively.
