During the Tuesday evening storm, Rosebud Electric transmission line that supplies power to the City of Burke was severely damaged. Approximately 42 poles were broken. An additional estimated 40 distribution poles were also broken. The Rosebud Electric crews along with help from neighboring Cooperatives have repaired the distribution poles that supply two temporary back feeds into the city of Burke. As of 9 pm Wednesday evening nearly all power has been restored in the Gregory County area. But there are a few individual outages that will be addressed on Thursday. Power was also restored in the west half of Burke late Wednesday evening. This included the hospital and the retirement village. Rosebud Electric will continue to repair the remaining areas within the city of Burke in the next few days.
