A retirement open house will take place on December 15th for Rhonda Augspurger. It will take place at Winner City Hall that evening from 5 to 6pm. Come congratulate Rhonda on her retirement!

Skatetown in Colome has begun open skating sessions for the season! They are open from 2 to 4pm each Sunday afternoon. The cost is $3 per skater. If you would like to book a private party, call Betsy Shippy at 842-5621.

The Valentine Chamber of Commerce will have their Holiday Preview take place on Saturday, November 22nd. Santa and his reindeer will be setup that day at Young’s Western Wear. The parade of lights will begin that evening at 6:30pm on Valentine’s Main Street.

There will be a blood drive this Thursday, November 13th at the Platte Community Center. The blood drive will take place from 12:30 to 6pm. You can sign up at lifeservebloodcenter.org, or by calling 337-3921, or 337-3988.

The Chamberlain School District’s Drama Department will present their fall play “back to the 80’s” November 13th through the 15th at the Chamberlain High School Auxiliary Gym. There will be a dinner on Thursday, the 13th at 6pm, followed by the show at 7pm. Friday’s show will begin at 7pm before two shows on Saturday the 15th at 2 and 7pm.

The White River United Methodist Church will hold a fall bazaar on Saturday, November 15th from 5-7pm at the Catholic Hall. They will be serving soup, sandwiches and dessert for a free will offering. There will be raffle items up for grabs, along with pie and a themed basket auction. There will be a kids art activity table too.

A Veterans Day celebration and fundraiser will take place this Saturday, November 8th beginning at 5:30pm at the Colome Legion. There will be a free will offering soup supper and dessert. A pitch tournament will also take place beginning at 7pm.

A benefit dart tournament will take place for Rita Pravecek on Saturday, November 22nd at the Colome Legion. It will be round robin team 501 format and will be limited to 18 teams and 3 divisions.
