The Valentine Chamber of Commerce will have their Holiday Preview take place on Saturday, November 22nd. Santa and his reindeer will be setup that day at Young’s Western Wear. The parade of lights will begin that evening at 6:30pm on Valentine’s Main Street.

The Burke Area Farmer’s Market will hold a postseason wrap-up meeting on Tuesday, November 18th beginning at 4:45 in the Burke Civic Center meeting room. They will discuss the 2025 season that recently wrapped up, and discuss the 2026 season as well. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting.

The Winner Regional Foundation will present their annual Holiday Festival on Saturday, December 6th at Saint Mary’s Hall beginning at 5pm. This year’s theme is ‘The Roaring’ 20’s’. The Burke VFW will be hosting bingo tonight starting at 7pm! It will be their holiday version, with turkeys and hams to be given away. It will also be Tom N’ Jerry Night too.

A retirement open house will take place on December 15th for Rhonda Augspurger. It will take place at Winner City Hall that evening from 5 to 6pm. Come congratulate Rhonda on her retirement!

Skatetown in Colome has begun open skating sessions for the season! They are open from 2 to 4pm each Sunday afternoon. The cost is $3 per skater. If you would like to book a private party, call Betsy Shippy at 842-5621.

The Chamberlain School District’s Drama Department will present their fall play “back to the 80’s” November 13th through the 15th at the Chamberlain High School Auxiliary Gym. There will be a dinner on Thursday, the 13th at 6pm, followed by the show at 7pm. Friday’s show will begin at 7pm before two shows on Saturday the 15th at 2 and 7pm.
