The Witten Fire Department will hold their Hunters Breakfast on Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Witten Community Hall.  The breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, coffee and juice.

A benefit dinner and auction for Victor Gonzalez will be held on Saturday, October 26th from 5-8 p.m. at the Burke VFW.  There will be a free will offering of smoked brisket and pulled pork.  Also happening is a live and silent auction including items such as Nebraska and SDSU football tickets, a Traeger Grill, and a Model 71 Stevens Limited Gun.  For further information contact Doug or Kim Sheppard at 605-469-5533.

The Rosebud Casino is hosting their Halloween dance and costume party this Friday, October 25th.  The party will go from 8:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. which will include prizes for best costumes.  Free slots and other prizes will be available as well.

The Chamberlain Oacoma Sun reported earlier today that a fire broke out in the kitchen of the Silver Dollar Bar in Chamberlain.  The fire department responded approximately at 9:15 a.m. this morning.  Traffic has since been allowed to flow to the North on Main Street in Chamberlain this afternoon. The Valentine City Council will meet on Thursday, November 14th.  The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in the meeting room of the Valentine Public Library.  The library is located at 324 N Main St., Valentine, Nebraska.

The Chamberlain Area Ducks Unlimited Banquet will be taking place on Friday, October 25th at Cedar Shore in Oacoma, South Dakota. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. that evening with the event going to 10:00 p.m.  Tickets cost $45.00 for a single,  $60.00 a couple and  sponsor single costs $300.00.

The Sandhills Area Foundation will hold their annual fundraising event on Saturday, November 2nd at 5:30 p.m. at the Cherry County Fairgrounds in Valentine, Nebraska.  The event will start with wine and wings being served with dinner and an auction later in the evening.

A Tree Lighting event will take place in Gregory, South Dakota on November 18th at 7 p.m. in the evening. Several local businesses will use that evening as their customer appreciation event and other’s will simply have store sales.  The week prior, the Gregory Chamber of Commerce will also be offering BK-5th students special $5.00 Chamber Bucks to be used by November 18th with the 19th being the latest local business can accept them.

Ladies Night in Gregory, South Dakota is taking place tonight.  Some of the locations included will be Gregory Lanes, Prairie Treasures, Runnings, Buche Foods and Karl’s.   The event goes from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. offering refreshments, sales, and prizes.
