Hometown Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair
The tenth annual Hometown Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair will take place on Saturday, October 26th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fair will include over fifty vendors through 3 different locations including the high school, the grade school and the Keya Paha County Activity Center downtown. Concessions and specialty coffees will be available on site.
Now Playing at Chamberlain State Theater
The movie “Ad Astra” is now playing at the State Theater in Chamberlain, South Dakota. The film is showing through Thursday, October 17th. The film was produced, co-written, and directed by James Gray and stars Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones.
West River Rural Water Systems Annual Meeting
The West River Rural Water Systems 30th annual meeting is taking place this upcoming Wednesday, October 16th at the Murdo Shop Building. Registration is at 4 p.m. with the business meeting following at 4:30 p.m.
Springview United Methodist Church Harvest Home Auction
The Springview United Methodist Church is having their annual Harvest Auction Thursday, October 12th. The event will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Keya Paha High School Gym. The auction will have several items donated by church members including a variety of baked goods.
31st Annual Rosebud Chapter Pheasants Forever Banquet
The 31st Annual Rosebud Chapter of Pheasants Forever Banquet will take place Friday, October 25th at St. Mary’s Hall in Winner at 5:30 p.m. Over 70 guns will be raffled as well as a live auction for a registered Labrador puppy and John Green and Nelson Chasing Hawk original artwork.
Tripp County 4-H Hunter’s Breakfast
The Hunter’s Breakfast is taking place on Saturday, October 19th and Sunday, October 20th from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on both days. The cost will be $10.00 for all you can eat serving pancakes, ham, sausage, eggs, coffee, milk, and juice. Proceeds go to supporting Tripp County 4-H.
Burke Blood Drive

Annual Winner Trunk or Treat
The Winner United Methodist Church is hosting their annual “Trunk or “Treat” this Halloween season on Sunday, October 27th. The event will take place at the church parking lot from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. located at 301 W. 4th St. in Winner, South Dakota. All ages are welcome and Halloween costumes are encouraged.
Mountain Oyster Feed
There will be a free will mountain oyster feed on Saturday, October 12th with serving starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Burke VFW. All proceeds from the feed will go to Burke Schools’ Tornado Relief Fund.
