Presho gearing up for St. Patrick's Day!

The Blarney Commission once again will bring you the big St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Presho on Saturday, March 16th! The day will start off at 8am with a rummage sale at the American Lutheran Church. At 10am, registration will start up for the Shamrock Shuffle at Jet Lanes. At noon, the shuffle will start in front of Jet Lanes. At 12:30, Too Drunk To Fish will perform at Jet Lanes. Parade lineup will start at 1:40 at the corner of Main and Willow Street. The grand parade will commence at 2pm on Presho’s Main Street. Neo Johnsons will perform at Jet Lanes later that night starting at 7pm. If you have questions, call Vince Koenig at 680-2224.

School Board news for this week

The Winner School Board members will gather for a meeting tonight. Meeting time is 7pm at the Administration building. Chamberlain School Board members have a meeting starting at 7pm tonight at the Chamberlain High School Library. Valentine School Board members have a meeting on Wednesday, February 13th, beginning at 5pm at Valentine High School.

Farm, Home and Sports Show set for next week!

The 1st annual Chamberlain Farm, Home and Sports Show will be held Friday, February 22nd through Sunday, February 24th at the Arrowhead Cedar Shore Resort in Oacoma. There will be many vendors from in and outside of the area. Seminars will be held each day from the Game Fish & Parks, Farmers Business Network and Farm Bureau Financial Services. Sanford will be doing heart screenings on Friday, the 22nd and Saturday, the 23rd.

Kegs and Corks event coming to Gregory

A “kegs and corks” event will be coming to Gregory on Friday, February 15th beginning at 6:30pm at the Gregory Community Room. Colome School District voting results from Tuesday

The Colome School District members voted on Tuesday, whether or not a new school building would be built. The bond to build the new school failed at 50.4 percent. In the Colome precinct, there were 151 ‘yes’ votes and 87 ‘no’ votes. In the Witten precinct, there were eight ‘yes’ votes and nine ‘no’ votes. in Wood, there were six ‘yes’ votes and 66 ‘no’ votes.
