One of the newest members to the Grand Ole Opry is coming to Parker, SD on November 2nd. Mark Willis will be live in concert at the Parker High School Gymnasium. The show starts at 7PM with doors opening at 6PM. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for K-12 Students. All money raised from the event will be given to McCrossans Boys Ranch. Deadlines Approaching for SD State Fair Entries
The Deadlines for all South Dakota State Fair open class entries are quickly approaching. The static entry deadline is Wednesday, July 31st. Other upcoming deadlines include class livestock entries on Thursday, August 1st. Late fees will apply to entries received after the deadline.
The South Dakota State Fair will run from Thursday, August 29th through Monday, September 2nd.
Presho getting set for St. Patrick's Day
The Blarney Commission once again will bring you the big St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Presho on Saturday, March 16th! The day will start off at 8am with a rummage sale at the American Lutheran Church. At 10am, registration will start up for the Shamrock Shuffle at Jet Lanes. At noon, the shuffle will start in front of Jet Lanes. At 12:30, Too Drunk To Fish will perform at Jet Lanes. Parade lineup will start at 1:40 at the corner of Main and Willow Street. The grand parade will commence at 2pm on Presho’s Main Street. Neo Johnsons will perform at Jet Lanes later that night starting at 7pm. If you have questions, call Vince Koenig at 680-2224.
Burke and Kimball to hold blood drives next week
We have a couple of blood drives that will take place in two of our area towns on Monday, February 25th. The Burke Methodist Women will hold a community blood drive from 11am to 5:30pm at the Burke Civic Center. To make an appointment, call Vicki at 775-2374. A blood drive will take place that same day at the Kimball Catholic Church from 12:30pm-5:30. To make an appointment, call 1-800-287-4903.
President's Day dinners to be held in Winner and Chamberlain tonight
The Winner United Methodist Church will be holding their annual President’s Day Dinner tonight from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Take out meals will be available. There will be a President’s Day Lasagna Dinner that will be served at the Chamberlain High School Multi-Purpose Room tonight. There will be two performances at 5pm and 7pm. There will be performances by: River City Groove, CHS Jazz Band, River City Beat and there will be solo and group ensembles.
Farm, Home and Sports Show set for this weekend!
The 1st annual Chamberlain Farm, Home and Sports Show will be held Friday, February 22nd through Sunday, February 24th at the Arrowhead Cedar Shore Resort in Oacoma this weekend. There will be many vendors from in and outside of the area. Seminars will be held each day from the Game Fish & Parks, Farmers Business Network and Farm Bureau Financial Services. Sanford will be doing heart screenings on Friday and Saturday.

Movies to be shown at the Pix this weekend!
Four different movies will be shown this weekend at the Pix Theatre in Winner! On Friday, February 16th, ‘Venom’ will be shown at 7:30pm. On Saturday, ‘Incredibles 2’ will be showing at 2pm. ‘Ready Player One’ will play at 7:30pm while ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ will play at 9:30pm. Stop by and enjoy the movies for a free will offering. The concession stand will be open too!
