The Winner Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual banquet on Thursday, January 10th at St. Mary’s Hall in Winner from 5:30-9pm. You must RSVP by the end of today as it is $25 per person. The entertainment will be “Dead Ja Vu” by Mr. Mystery Productions. The new directors that will be introduced to the chamber board are Nick Hayes, Bryce Hauf along with one more person to be determined. There will be awards for employee of the year, volunteer of the year, farm/ranch family of the year, business of the year, achievement award and business anniversary awards.

Gary Kaiser Memorial Pitch Tournament set for January 13th
The 9th annual Gary Kaiser Memorial Pitch Tournament will be held on Sunday, January 13th at the Winner Elk’s Lodge. It will be a five point pitch tournament starting at 1pm. You can sign up by calling 842-2141. There is a twenty dollar entry fee per two person team with one hundred percent payback.

Burke Livstock to hold a sale on Saturday
The Burke Livestock Auction will hold a special spring calf and yearling sale this Saturday, January 5th with 1500 head expected. Weigh-ups will sell at 10am and calves and yearlings at 12:30pm. Cork Thornton Memorial Ice Fishing Tournament set for January 25th and 26th
The annual Cork Thornton Memorial Ice Fishing Tournament will be held January 25th and 26th at the Merritt Dam Reservoir, 26 miles south of Valentine. Ranchers Workshop coming up in White River
The 40th annual Ranchers Workshop will be held on Tuesday, January 15th at the Community Events Center in White River. The main speaker for this year’s event will be Jay Fuhrer, who is a Conservationist with the NRCS in Bismarck. Money received for the event will be used to help pay for speaking fees, facility use fees, advertising and other expenses.
