A community Thanksgiving service and dinner will be taking place in Gregory at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Thursday. A community worship service will go from 10:30 to 11:30 am followed by dinner being served from 11:30 to 1:30. A community Thanksgiving meal will be happening at the Chamberlain Community Center on Thursday from 11am to 2pm.

Mid-Winter Fair coming up on Saturday
The 2018 Mid-Winter Fair will take place this weekend! The event will take place on Saturday, November 24th from 9am to 4pm at the Gregory Memorial Auditorium. You will be able to checkout over forty different vendors that will be in attendance. Santa will be there for pictures from 10am to Noon! Breakfast and lunch will be served by the After Prom Committee.
Tuesday reminders
Keep in mind that the City of Colome will be doing an emergency siren test today starting at 2pm. The High School Region 5 Music Festival will start at 6:30pm tonight at the Gregory Auditorium. The Valentine VFW members will meet at 7pm tonight at the Veterans Club in Valentine. The Burke VFW and Auxiliary will hold their regular monthly meeting with a supper to be served at 7pm and the meeting starts at 8.
Blood Drive coming up in Todd County next week
Todd County High School will be hosting a public blood drive at the high school in Mission next week. The drive will be held on November 27th from 9am to 1:15pm. Butte Christmas Open House to happen this weekend
Butte, Nebraska will hold a three day Holiday Open House this Friday through Sunday! The open houses on Friday will go from 9-5, and will continue on Saturday from 9-5 before they wrap it up on Sunday from 1-5. Ellwanger’s Greenhouse and Floral will have big door buster specials, Country Dreams will have holiday gift baskets and door prizes while Sweet Bee Antiques will have an array of new, old, vintage and antique gift items.
Winner Parade of Lights information for Saturday
The 15th annual Winner Parade of Lights event is set to take place this Saturday, November 24th beginning at 7pm. Please call the Chamber Office by the end of the day Wednesday to enter a float, 842-1533. First place finisher will receive $300 in Winner Cash, second place receives $200 while $100 goes to the third place finisher. The winner in the People’s Choice category will get $100 in Winner Cash.
Christmas at the Bowring coming up
Christmas at the Bowring will be held on Saturday, December 8th beginning at 6pm mountain time. This is by reservation only. Tickets are $25 and they are available now through November 30th. Tripp County 4-H activities happening tonight and tomorrow
A reminder that Tripp County 4-H Shooting sports signup, 4-H enrollment and scheduled shooting times will be held tonight from 6-8pm, and again on Thursday from 3 to 7pm at the Tripp County Courthouse community room. Shooters must be eight years of age or born in 2010.
Busy night in Gregory!
Old Pioneer Tool, Pawn & Gun in Gregory will be holding a customer appreciation night from 5 to 8pm tonight. There will be refreshments, door prizes, storewide specials and a gun raffle set to take place! The City of Gregory will hold a tree lighting ceremony beginning at 7pm at Dakota Flooring. Also, True Value and B & F Variety will host customer appreciation nights too.
