Winner High School Student Council will be having a Veterans Day Program on November 12th starting at 10am. They are putting together a power point for the program and would love to get any veterans pictures for the program. The Colome American Legion will be hosting their annual chicken supper this Saturday, October 27th beginning at 6pm. A free will offering will be taken and all of the proceeds will go towards improvements at the Colome Legion. Bring the entire family for a delicious meal on Saturday night!

If you are looking to get into the Halloween spirit this weekend, here are a few events that may catch your interest: A haunted house will be at the Cherry County Fairgrounds in Valentine, October 26th through the 28th from 7 to Midnight. They will be back on Halloween night too. A PreSchool Halloween Carnival will be held on Saturday from 11am to 2pm at the Chamberlain Community Center with carnival style games, a cake walk and a costume contest. The Halloween Monster Mash will be held in Platte this Friday from 4 to 8pm at the Community Building with a kids maze, photo booth, face painting and a witches ring toss.

A ‘Stop Domestic Violence’ Road Walk/Run will be held this Saturday, October 27th starting at Noon at the UCC Church parking lot, and will end at the Milks Camp Community Center with lunch, family activities, speakers and resources. The Reliance Methodist Church will hold their annual bazaar at the Methodist Hall in Reliance tonight from 5 to 7pm. Stop by and enjoy roast beef, fried chicken, ham and more. The annual Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet will be held this Saturday, October 27th beginning at 5pm at the Cherry County Fairgrounds in Valentine, Nebraska.
