The Winner American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary will be having a Veterans Day soup and sandwich dinner on November 12th from 11:30am to 1pm at the Winner American Legion. Winner Elementary students will perform at 12:30, and veterans along with their spouses will eat for free.

Meal on Main in Burke to happen on Monday
Make plans to enjoy dinner in Burke on Monday of next week! There will be a meal on Main in Burke at the Burke Civic Center on Monday, November 5th from 11am to 1pm as they will be serving up roast beef, mashed potatoes and a dessert. It is a fundraiser for the Burke Daycare group.
Halloween reminders
Checkout the haunted house at the Cherry County Fairgrounds in Valentine tonight! The house will be open from 7 to Midnight. Bring the kids to the First Baptist Church in Winner tonight as they will have a box maze setup from 5:30 to 7, along with other activities and treats. The Avera Rosebud Country Care Center in Gregory will hold their annual door-to-door event tonight from 6 to 7 at the Avera Facility. A trunk or treat will happen at the Chamberlain Community Center from 5:30 t 7. Great Western Bank in Chamberlain invites the public to stop by from 3:30 to 5 as they will have refreshments in the lobby.
Craft & Trade Show coming to Mission this weekend
A Changing Colors Craft & Trade Show will take place this Saturday, November 3rd from 10am to 4pm at the Todd County Fairgrounds! There will be something for everyone as many vendors will be on site. Proceeds will benefit the Rosebud-Todd County 4-H and Scholarship Fund. More vendors are needed. Call Genna at 308-530-3171.

Veterans Day Program coming up in Winner
Winner High School Student Council will be having a Veterans Day Program on November 12th starting at 10am. They are putting together a power point for the program and would love to get any veterans pictures for the program. Please drop off veterans photos to Mona Lacompte at Winner High School no later than Friday, November 2nd.
A'Cafellas to perform next weekend
The A’Cafellas Barbershop Chorus will present “Turn the Radio On” on Saturday, November 3rd. There will be a performance at 3pm at the Dixon Town Hall in Gregory and then at 7:30pm at the Winner Community Playhouse. For advance tickets please call 605-842-1958.
Colome Legion to hold annual chicken supper on Saturday
The Colome American Legion will be hosting their annual chicken supper this Saturday, October 27th beginning at 6pm. A free will offering will be taken and all of the proceeds will go towards improvements at the Colome Legion. Bring the entire family for a delicious meal on Saturday night!
A few Halloween events for this weekend
If you are looking to get into the Halloween spirit this weekend, here are a few events that may catch your interest: A haunted house will be at the Cherry County Fairgrounds in Valentine, October 26th through the 28th from 7 to Midnight. They will be back on Halloween night too. A PreSchool Halloween Carnival will be held on Saturday from 11am to 2pm at the Chamberlain Community Center with carnival style games, a cake walk and a costume contest. The Halloween Monster Mash will be held in Platte this Friday from 4 to 8pm at the Community Building with a kids maze, photo booth, face painting and a witches ring toss.
Road Walk/Run to happen on Saturday
A ‘Stop Domestic Violence’ Road Walk/Run will be held this Saturday, October 27th starting at Noon at the UCC Church parking lot, and will end at the Milks Camp Community Center with lunch, family activities, speakers and resources.
