Agrimax/West River Ag Services to hold open house

A fall customer appreciation open house will be hosted by Agrimax and West River Ag Services of Winner on Thursday, September 20th with a social hour starting at 4pm. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. They will have some great early booking specials too. The open house will take place at 31710 Harvest Road in Winner. Pink Flamingo Ladies Nite Out set for Saturday

The 2018 Pink Posse 2018 Pink Flamingo Ladies Nite Out will take place this Saturday, September 15th at St. Mary’s Hall in Winner. Doors will open at 5 and a meal will be served at 6 with a program to follow. The guest speaker will be an Oncology Nurse from Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls. Come out and enjoy an evening of friends, fellowship, fun and food! A raffle and silent auction will be apart of the event as well. The cost to attend is 35 dollars.

Todd County Schools hosting Clinics today

The Todd County School District will be holding an Immunization Clinic today for any vaccinations needed for Kindergarten and Sixth graders. Public Health nurses will be at Todd County Elementary in the morning and at Todd County Middle School in the afternoon. Mission to host 'Welcome Neighbor Day' this weekend

A Welcome Neighbor Day is coming up at the Mission City Park on Saturday, September 15th beginning at 10am with registration. Registration will be done for the bike and car show. The show is being sponsored by the Sicangu Drifters Bike Club. Sausage and pancakes will be served from 11 to noon. A horseshoe tournament and hot dog feed will be sponsored by the Legion Riders. Water Fights will take place between the Rosebud VFD and the Mission VFD.  There will be plenty of games provided for the kids and music by Walt Hernandez. A co-ed softball tournament will happen throughout the day as well. A 5k walk/run will be sponsored by the BIA Fire department. That will start at 9am at the City Park pool area.

Keya Paha Homecoming info for next week

The Keya Paha High School Homecoming is set for September 21st! The football team will battle the Boyd County County Spartans at 7pm that night. The parade will start at 2:30 on Friday with the line-up at the High School by 2pm. The theme for the parade this year is ‘Board Games’. Spirit Days will go as follows: Monday- Twins Day. Tuesday- Circle of Life- either dress like a baby or the elderly. Wednesday- JH/HS: Teacher Day (Dress like your favorite teacher). Thursday- Decade Day- Dress like you were living in a different decade. Friday- Spirit Day- wear your jerseys and team shirts.

Fall Fest Cook-Off happening in Chamberlain

Chamberlain/Oacoma’s 6th annual Fall Fest Cook-Off is happening Friday and Saturday this weekend at the American Creek Campground! Tonight, you can enjoy baby back ribs during the BBQ in the Bluffs event beginning at 6pm. Music will be provided at 7 by the Bad Monkey Sound System. Tomorrow, the beef brisket and prime rib cook-off will take place. A bean bag tournament will start at 2, beef bundle bingo happens at 3:30, the beef feed gets underway at 5:30, music will be provided by Wolfhound at 6pm and a Veteran’s Program will start at 6:30.
