Burke Farmer's Market to open this week!

The Burke Area Farmers Market will begin this Thursday, July 12th from 4:30-6:30pm on Main Street! They will have many old and new vendors this summer. Blood drives coming up in White River and Winner

Coming up on Wednesday, July 18th, a blood drive will take place in White River at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall from 1:15-5pm. To make an appointment call Donna at 259-3372. A blood drive will be held on Tuesday, July 24th from Noon-6pm and on Wednesday, July 25th from 7:30am-12:30pm at the Winner Regional Hospital Chapel. Lady Wranglers Open Horse Show fast approaching

The Lady Wranglers Open Horse Show will take place on July 22nd beginning at 10am at the Cherry County Fairgrounds in Valentine. The entry fee is five dollars and there will be age divisions for pre-junior, junior, senior and adult. The horse show classes are: western pleasure, English pleasure, reining, trail, poles, barrels, flag race and ribbon race. For more information call Shirley at 402-376-1317 or Judy at 402-376-1879.

A busy Fourth of July in Gregory

There will be plenty of activities happening in Gregory for the Fourth of July today: The Avera Gregory Run/Walk will start at 8am. Black Hills Paintball will start at 9am at the Gregory Auditorium. The Kiddie Parade will start at 10:30 as everyone will meet at Krotter’s Corner. The Big Parade will get underway at 11am as Jack Clark will be the Parade Marshall. Free swimming will be offered at the Pool from 1-4. The Street Bandits Car Show will run from 1-4. A Bean Bag Tournament will start after the Parade at Gregory Lanes, bingo will be happening along with plenty of baseball at the park!

Fishing Tournament to happen this weekend in Chamberlain

The second annual “Fishing for a Cure” Ladies Fishing Tournament will happen in Chamberlain this Saturday, July 7th. The ladies are seeking contributions to help defray the costs associated with the event so that all the funds can assist any community member that is battling cancer. Donations may be monetary or items for their raffle and auction. All funds raised will stay local and can be used for assistance defray the cost for gas, food, lodging or bill payments of any kind.
