The East/West All Star Basketball Shootout was held Monday night in Gregory. The girls game was won by the West team, 76-59. North Central’s Brielle Bussinger led the West with 14 points. The girls 3 point shootout was won by Winner’s Jenna Hammerbeck. Taven Burke of Corsica Stickney won the boys 3 point shootout. The boys all star game was won by the West team, 108-81. White River’s Dylan Marshall led the West team with 30 points.

We want to congratulate the following area boys basketball players who made all tournament teams. Making Class B All Tournament for Lower Brule was Keshaume Thigh and Ellwyn Langdeau. Making all tournament for White River was Joe Sayler and Dylan Marshall. White River’s Kalan Collins received the  Tate Senftner Memorial Scholarship. Winner’s Blake Volmer made the Class A All Tournament Team.

The Big Dakota All Conference Girls and Boys Basketball teams have been revealed. Making the girls all conference team locally are: Bella Swedlund of Winner, Kelsey Sachtjen of Winner, Mya Knippling of Chamberlain, Bailey White Hat of Todd County and Kinsey Evans of Chamberlain. Winner’s Ellie Brozik made the honorable mention team along with Alexis Walking Eagle of Todd County and her teammate Wiconi Uses Arrow.
