At Leahy Bowl on Tuesday, the Winner Teeners were able to take down Rapid City Post 320, 3-1. The Winner/Colome Legion squad beat Post 320, 11-5. In the amateur game last night, Winner/Colome took down Corsica/Stickney, 7-5. Reed Harter hit a two run home run in the victory. In Teener Baseball, Gregory won a high scoring 9-8 game over Stanley County. 16U softball in Pierre, Winner fell in their doubleheader, scores were 4-0 and 16-3. At the Junior Golf Tour in Murdo, Karlie Cameron of White River won the girls 14 and older division as she shot a 45. In the boys 11-14 age group, Emmitt Dinger of Wall was victorious with a 43. In the 11-14 girls group, Sophie McNaughton of Lyman finished in first with a 59. In the 10u group, Jonah McNaughton of Lyman was victorious with a 28. Next Tuesday is the second leg of the Golf Tour at the Medicine Creek Golf Course in Presho.

In Junior Teener Regional Baseball Thursday in Corsica, Gregory punched their ticket to state as they took down Tyndall, 17-8. Gregory will play MVP next Friday, July 17th in Webster starting at 4pm. In Platte, Mount Vernon/Plankinton scored twice in the seventh inning to defeat Platte/Geddes, 5-3 for the Region 3B Championship. Amateur Baseball from Thursday, Winner/Colome’s offense was rolling on the road as they beat Dimock/Emery, 19-5. In Mt. Vernon, Platte’s Michael Buitenbos struck out 14 as the Killer Tomatoes beat Mt. Vernon, 5-2. In Miller, the Colome Chaos scored an 8-3 win over Miller. Kimball/White Lake got a win over Chamberlain, 9-4.

In Junior Teener Regional Baseball from Tuesday, Winner was able to come from behind and erase a 7-0 deficit to avoid elimination and beat Wagner, 12-11. In game two last night, Winner was once again able to come from behind and beat Chamberlain, 10-8. In Wagner today at 4pm, West Central will battle Winner. If West Central wins, they will be crowned Region champions. If Winner is victorious, the two teams will play again at 6pm tonight for the championship. In Corsica, Gregory took care of Avon, 17-0. Gregory will play Tyndall at 3pm today in Corsica followed by Avon vs Corsica/Stickney. The loser of game one today will play the winner of game two at around 8pm. Junior Teener action in Platte, MVP outslugged Platte/Geddes in the first game, 15-11. Kimball/White Lake was able to hold off Wessington Springs, 7-6. Platte/Geddes then beat Kimball/White Lake, 17-0 in four innings. Thursday at 5:30, it will be Platte/Geddes vs MVP for the region championship in Platte. In Amateur Baseball last night, Winner/Colome beat Mt. Vernon, 4-2. The Platte Killer Tomatoes won a slugfest over Dimock/Emery, 19-18. Gene Kitchens hit the game winning single in the bottom of the tenth for the Killer Tomatoes. 16U Softball in Pierre Tuesday, Winner fell to VanDeWeile/Dorschner in game 1, 6-3. The two teams tied in game two, 4-4. In Little League Baseball last night, the Clearfield Rookies beat Lyman, 5-0. The Clearfield Minors beat Lyman, 5-3 while the Clearfield Majors won over Lyman, 12-7.
We had plenty of baseball take place on Monday. In Junior Teener Regional play, West Central defeated Winner, 16-0. Chamberlain beat Wagner, 6-3 before West Central was victorious over Chamberlain, 5-0. At 4pm in Wagner today, Winner will play Wagner before Chamberlain will play the winner of that Winner-Wagner game at around 6pm. In Platte on Monday, Platte/Geddes beat Kimball/White Lake, 10-0 while MVP beat Wessington Springs, 8-4. Today at 3pm, Platte/Geddes will battle MVP before Kimball/White Lake takes on Wessington Springs. The Region 5B games that were scheduled for Monday ended up getting postponed to today. Avon plays Gregory at 5 before Tyndall plays Corsica/Stickney in Corsica. In Legion Baseball Monday, Platte/Geddes defeated Winner/Colome, 8-5. In Teener Baseball, Winner scored an 11-10 victory over Stanley County.
