The Platte Area Chamber of Commerce held their annual  fishing tournament on Saturday at Platte Creek Recreation Area. The team of Reggie, Ross and Jack Ringling were the winning team as they brought in a total weight of 14.12 fish. It was the 29th year that the Chamber held the tournament.

The Gregory Lutheran Youth are hosting a Rummage Sale today from 8AM-3PM at St. John Lutheran Church in Gregory. All proceeds go toward sending the youth to the national youth gathering in New Orleans this summer. Many donations of things such as clothing for everyone, luggage, baskets, housewares, furniture, decor, toys, exercise equipment and much more will be accepted.

Frank Days in Dallas will be holding their annual Pitch Party tonight! Food will be served at 6pm, prizes will be drawn at 7pm before the pitch tournament will get underway at 7:30pm.

The Winner School Board held interviews for a new Superintendent today.  Stacy Halverson was offered the position and has verbally accepted.  Keven Morehart recently announced his retirement as Superintendent of the Winner School District.  We will bring you further details after the May 12th Board meeting.
