Chamberlain senior students will hold their 2nd annual Scholarthon on April 8th from 11am to 2pm. Organizers of the event have a goal of raising $20,000 to help provide scholarships for present and future Chamberlain graduates. Platte/Geddes Elementary School will host Kindergarten Round-Up tomorrow starting at 8:30am. It’s for kids who will reach age 5 by September 1st of this year. They will screen for developmental readiness and gather information. If you have questions, call 337-2468.

The City of Winner will hold it’s annual Spring Cleanup the week of April 13th. The city is asking residents within city limits to please separate all items and have curbside or in the alley by Monday, April 13th. No plastic or tires will be accepted.

A grass fire was reported Saturday morning at South Ideal Housing in Tripp County. The Winner Volunteer Fire Department was able to 100 percent contain the fire at approximately Noon Central. A red flag warning is in effect for most of South Central South Dakota through 7pm tonight.

The Big Bend Shrine Circus will be coming back to the Chamberlain Armory on April 20th and the 21st! Shows will be at 4:30 and 7:15. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids. Tickets can be purchased at Burke Oil, or by calling 605-730-0799.
