The City of Winner is hosting another class that will focus on ways to lower one’s utility costs during the Winter season. Residents will learn how to weatherize their homes and strategies for using less electricity and water in order to save more money.

In honor of Heart Health Month, the community is invited to enjoy a light lunch and presentation by cardiologist Richard Clark at Winner Regional Health on Friday, February 7th.  This is a free event and one can call 842-7231 to RSVP.

The 19th Annual Heart City Bull Bashing is coming to Valentine, Nebraska’s “Main” Event on Saturday, February 8th. This will take place in downtown Valentine and feature 100+ Bull and Heifer Exhibits, commercial exhibits, wine tasting and Gun and Art shows. Call 402-376-5831 or go to www.bullbash.net.

The 30th Annual Benefit Hunt will be held Saturday, February 1st.  Due to recent and limited spots to hunt the benefit will be a trap shoot and progressive pitch party at Buffalo Butte Ranch. Attendees will meet at the Dixon Town Hall at 10:30 a.m. to caravan up to the lodge.  Buffalo Butte will provide a lunch between the trap shoot and pitch party .  Individuals’ $100 contributions will go to various organizations and members throughout the community.

Tonight there will be a  a joint meeting between the Gregory/Dallas Chamber, BID Group and Horizons at Gregory Lanes. It is 3 groups but is expected to be a short meeting and pizza will be provided. The gathering will look to preview all of the local events in 2020. . Also one can attend the meeting and pay their chamber dues that evening for a 10% discount.

CPR Landowner Workshops will be taking place on January 29th, 30th and February 5th in Murdo, Winner, and Presho, respectively this and next month in South Dakota.  Topics that will be covered include general CPR, continuous CPR, CPR trees, managed haying and grazing as well as South Dakota Game Fish and Parks Private Land Programs.

Chamberlain Highschool will present “The Little Prince” tomorrow, January 25th in the CHS Multipurpose Room with one showing at 4:00 p.m. and another at 7:00 p.m.  Tickets costs are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.
