Golden West to hold pool party and picnic in Winner on Wednesday
Golden West will be hosting a free pool party and picnic at the Winner City Pool on Wednesday, August 13th from 5 to 8pm. Kids can stop by and enjoy an evening of swimming and a hot dog meal at no cost. There will also be prize drawings throughout the evening too.

Hunt Safe Class happening this weekend
The Rosebud Arrow, Rod and Gun Club in Winner will be hosting a hunt safe class this evening and tomorrow. The class this evening will run from 6 to 9pm. Saturday, the class will begin at 8am. If you have questions, contact Tim Pravecek at 830-0220.
Wood to host all-school reunion on Saturday
The Wood All-School Reunion is set for this weekend! The reunion will take place on Saturday, August 9th. It will take place inside the Wood Gym beginning at 5pm. There will be a silent auction at 5:30, and dinner will be served starting at 6pm that night.
Retirement Party to happen August 14th for Todd Stiehl
There will be a retirement party for Tripp County Chief Deputy, Todd Stiehl, on Thursday, August 14th beginning at 2pm in the community room of the Tripp County Courthouse. Come congratulate Todd on 20 tremendous years as chief deputy in Tripp County.

New event set for Saturday in Gregory
A new event will be put on by the Gregory/Dallas Chamber this Saturday, August 9th at the Gregory City Park from 9am to Noon called ‘Stomp, Chomp and Roar’. It’s a dinosaur-themed event featuring sensory stations for kids, and adults to learn more about the Jurassic period will happen. Children of all ages are welcome, but parents are encouraged to join. Local businesses will be set up along the walking trail of the city park with stations that will allow dinosaur lovers of all ages to touch, see, smell, taste and hear what it was like when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.
