Gregory County, S.D.- A Fairfax, SD woman died in a two-car crash, nine miles north of Herrick, SD Saturday afternoon.

The names of the persons involved have not been released pending notification of family members.

Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2001 Ford F-250 was traveling northbound on 350^th Avenue near 286^th Street. At the same time, the driver of a 2007 Honda CR-V was traveling southbound on 350^th Avenue. The vehicles met at the crest of a hill where they collided.

The driver of the Ford was uninjured. The driver of the Honda sustained fatal injuries.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.

The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
