Iona Community Center Dance and Social Tomorrow Night
The Iona Community Center Dance and Social will take place tomorrow night at the Iona Community Center from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Roy and the Boys will be performing and there will be concessions available, All proceeds will go to the upkeep of the Community Center.

Colome School District Special Election Results
The Colome Consolidated School District held a special election on June 20th to determine if the consolidated part of the school district will be dissolved or not. The result was 149 votes for and 163 votes against.
The election required 50% to pass, this means the reorganization plan failed to pass the vote and the consolidated part of the district will not be dissolved.
Colome Consolidated District Special Election Today
The Colome Consolidated School District will hold a special election today which will determine if the consolidated part of the school district will be dissolved or not.
The polls will be open today from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The polling locations are the fire hall in Colome, the city hall / post office in Witten, and the community hall in Wood.

Gregory City Meeting Tuesday Night
The City of Gregory will hold their regular city council meeting Tuesday, June 20th at 6:00 p.m. at Gregory City Hall. The Gregory typically meets on the first and third Monday of each month unless otherwise noted.
South Dakota Beef Industry Council to Gather in Pierre June 28 & 29, 2023
Directors and staff of the South Dakota Beef Industry Council (SDBIC) will gather in Pierre June 28-29 for the Checkoff Academy and SDBIC Quarterly Board meeting.
The Checkoff Academy, hosted by staff from the Cattlemen’s Beef Board, will kick off the meeting at 2:00 pm CDT on Wednesday, June 28 at Red Rossa conference center in Pierre. This event will provide the SDBIC Board and guests with some history and an overview of current national beef checkoff programs. This meeting will provide a valuable opportunity for beef producers to network with their peers and gain a deeper understanding of the beef checkoff. All beef producers are invited to attend.
The SDBIC Quarterly Board meeting will follow on Thursday, June 29 at Drifters Conference Center in Ft. Pierre, SD. Committee meetings will begin at 7:30 am with the full board of directors meeting to follow at 10:30 am CST.
