Golf and Club Baseball from Tuesday

The first round of the Region 4B Club Baseball Playoffs got underway yesterday. At Leahy Bowl, Winner/Colome was able to defeat Chamberlain, 11-1. The Royals were able to get good production from their entire lineup and Ty Bolton pitched very well on the mound to earn the victory. Winner/Colome will now the host the Super Regional Tournament on Monday at Leahy Bowl. In Platte last night, the Honkers were able to advance to the Super Regional Tournament by defeating Gregory County in nine innings, 1-0. Dylan Mohnen was able to score the winning run in the ninth for Platte. Blake Boes pitched very well in the loss for Gregory County as he struck out twelve.Out in the Black Hills, Lead/Deadwood got past Todd County by a final score of 9-3.

In girls golf Tuesday, Burke/South was victorious in Mitchell as they won the Parkston Invite with a 364 team score. The Winner girls were fifth with a 417. Tressa Bull finished first overall with an 81 while teammate Taylee Indahl was third with an 86. Winner Area’s Ronae Klein was fourth with an 88.
