Here are some of the many highlights from Thursday in the local sports world:

Boys golf,

Gregory won the team title at Thursday’s SESD Meet that took place in Yankton. JJ Beck led all golfers with a 78. Brody Boltjes of Platte/Geddes was second as he shot an 80.

Girls Golf

The Burke/South Central girls won the team title at the SESD Meet. Tressa Bull finished first as she shot an 85, her teammate Taylee Indahl was second with an 86. Adisyn Indahl of Burke/South Central was fourth with a 94 while Mariah Van Zee of Platte/Geddes rounded out the top five as she also shot a 94.

 

Track and Field

Sioux Falls Christian won the boys team title at the Menno Relays. Yankton won the girls team title. Mason Juracek of Gregory won the triple jump. We had a good number of area athletes that pre qualified for state.

 

Club Baseball last night,

Winner/Colome moved to 4-0 on the season as they defeated Chamberlain/Kimball/Lyman, 7-2 at Leahy Bowl. Jackson Kinzer struck out eight as he picked up the victory. Kinzer also drove in a pair of runs and had a couple of hits.Remington Rossow led Chamberlain/Kimball/Lyman with two hits.
