Jackrabbits win National Championship!

The South Dakota State Jackrabbit football team won their first FCS National  Championship in program history Sunday as they took down the North Dakota State Bison, 45-21. South Dakota State Quarterback Mark Gronowski was named the game’s Most Valuable Player as he threw for 223 yards and three touchdowns. Running Back Amar Johnson had nine carries for 126 yards and a score. The Jackrabbit defense was able to step up when needed as they forced three Bison turnovers.  South Dakota State won 14 consecutive games and did so in convincing fashion. It was also the first time that North Dakota State has been defeated  in a National Championship game.
