Pine Ridge coming to Winner Thursday for a doubleheader

Scott Schramm will have coverage of boys and girls basketball Thursday night from the Winner National Guard Armory  as Pine Ridge comes to town. The girls varsity game will kickoff our coverage at around 6pm on Magic 93. The Lady Thorpes are 9-3 on the season, but have lost two of their last three games. The losses for Pine Ridge have come to Todd County, Little Wound and Dell Rapids. Larry Aaker’s Lady Warriors enter Thursday night’s matchup with a 9-0 record and are averaging over 64 points per game. Kalla Bertram, Bella Swedlund and Gabriel Kocer each enter the game having averaged double digits in the scoring column. In the boys contest, Pine Ridge enters Thursday’s game with a 7-2 record. The Thorpes fell to  White River in the LNI Championship Game and then to Red Cloud at home by three points. Casey Means’ team has won four of their last five. Brett Gardner’s Warriors have a record of 7-2 on the season and have won three in a row. Winner beat Tri-Valley last Thursday, 54-40. Three Warriors- Brandon Volmer, Brady Fritz and Joren Bruun are each averaging over ten points a game this season.
