The Platte/Burke Golf Meet was held on Friday. The Platte/Geddes boys won the team title on their home course as they shot a 222. Kimball/White Lake finished second. Peyton Nelson was the top golfer for the tournament for Platte/Geddes as he shot a 72. Stewart Van Zee and Brody Boltjes of Platte/Geddes both shot 75’s for second place. Jon Bakke was Gregory’s top golfer as he shot a 77 and tied with Payton Foxley of Platte/Geddes for fourth. On the girls side in Burke, Burke/South central won the team title in Burke by 80 strokes as they shot a 259. Taylee Indahl finished in first place with a 75 while her teammate Tressa Bull was second with an 86. Mariah Van Zee of Platte/Geddes tied for fourth with a 93.

The Southwest Conference Boys Golf Meet was held yesterday in Broken Bow. Joshua Harvey of Broken Bow was the top golfer as he shot a 76. Valentine’s Dylan Hathorn was runner up with an 80. Sam Wilkins was Ainsworth’s top golfer as he carded an 85.Broken Bow won the team title with a 320 score while Valentine was second with a 345.

The Stanley County Girls Invite took place Friday. Winner Area won the team title. Ronae Klein shot a tournament best 80. Addy Root was third with an 85 while Sam Marts was fifth as she shot a 94. Chamberlain’s Averie Larson was second overall.

At the Howard Wood Relays, T’Nia Riley of Minneapolis North won the girls 200 meter special event in a time of 24.38 last night. Todd County’s Caeln Valandra-Prue was sixth in a time of 25.88. The Burke/South Central boys finished third in the 4×8 in a time of 8:35:85. James Valley Christian was the winning team.

Club Baseball in Platte yesterday, Platte beat Hot Springs in five innings, 16-0. In game two, Chamberlain beat Hot Springs, 11-1.
