The Howard Wood Relays got underway yesterday in Sioux Falls. Locally on the boys side, Platte-Geddes won the 4 x 800 meter relay! Elsewhere, Lyman’s Korder Cropsey finished with the fourth best time in the 400 meter dash. On the girls side, Burke/South Central’s Allison Sebern has qualified for Saturday’s 400 meter dash after she won her preliminary heat on Friday. Todd County’s Caelyn Valandra had the fastest time in the 400 meter dash as she finished with a time of 58.93. In girls golf Friday, Winner Area won the Stanley County Invite! Ronae Klein finished second overall as she shot an 86, Liz Jankauskas was fourth with an 88. In the Junior Varsity meet, Cheyenne Dougherty was first as she shot a 101!
