Saturday's state track and field highlights

State Track and Field wrapped up Saturday afternoon in Rapid City. Locally, Gregory’s Aaron Voight was runner up in the mile. Winner’s Brady Fritz was third in the 100 meter dash and the long jump. Todd County’s Caelyn-Valandra Prue won the 400 meter dash in a time of 57.45. Caelyn was third in the 200 and third in the 100. Winner’s Sidda Schuyler was eighth in the mile run. Todd County’s Brendan Waln finished sixth in the 200. The Todd County Boys 4×2 relay team finished fifth overall. Blake Boes of Gregory was third in the high jump. The Winner boys 4×1 team finished runners up while Todd County was sixth. The Kimball/White Lake girls won the mile sprint medley and the  Gregory girls sprint medley team finished third. The Gregory boys sprint medley team placed fourth. White River’s Nick Sayler was seventh in the 200. Burke/South Central’s Lahna Matucha was runner up in the high jump. Riggs Priebe of Chamberlain was fourth in the 300 hurdles. Avany Long of Chamberlain finished third in the long jump.  Haley Krumpus placed 8th in the triple jump, 5th in the 100 and 4th in the 200. In the team standings, St. Thomas More won both the boys and girls team titles. The Winner boys finished tenth. The Deubrook Girls won the team title while Kimball/White Lake came in eighth. The Class B Boys team title was won by Freeman while Gregory ended up tying for third.
