Chamberlain’s Ella Byers had a huge day in Brookings on Monday as she was named the outstanding female athlete at the Scott Underwood Invite that took place. Ella won both the 800 meter run and mile run to help the Chamberlain girls finished second as a team. Deubrook Area won the team title with 81 points while Chamberlain finished with 69.5. Avany Long of Chamberlain had a strong day as she finished second in both the 100 meter and 300 meter hurdles. Allison Hough was second in the two mile run. On the boys side, Riggs Priebe of Chamberlain was second in the 300 meter hurdles, third overall in the 110 meter hurdles and he placed third in the long jump. Nash Hutmacher came in second in the shot put as Chamberlain finished sixth in the team standings. Kray Person of Burke/South Central finished second in the mile run.
