Wrestling results- Winner Area has three boys win championships in Aberdeen!

The Lee Wolf Wrestling Invite wrapped up Saturday night in Aberdeen. Winner Area had three champions- Wyatt Turnquist defeated Chipper Shillingstad of Huron via pinfall in the 138 pound championship match. At 152 pounds, Trevor Peters scored a 1-0 championship decision win over Ethan Fleck of Mandan. In the 160 pound weight class, Sam Kruger won a championship 9-0 over Will Jarrott of Aberdeen Central. At 120 pounds, Ty Althoff of Watertown beat Winner Area’s Kaden Keiser in the championship match, 5-0. At 113 pounds, Max Donovan of Chamberlain won his championship match over Keegan Haider of Wolsey-Wessington, 4-0. At 132 pounds, Gabe Skustad of Chamberlain fell in the championship match to Kellyn March of Canton, 19-7. Chamberlain’s Nash Hutmacher was crowned champion in the heavyweight division as he defeated Kaden Johnson of Aberdeen Central, 25-5. Canton won the team title with 201 points while Winner Area was runner up with 168 points. Chamberlain was fifth with 117 points.  At the Ainsworth Invite on Saturday, Burke/Gregory’s Owen Hansen beat Austin Munier of Sidney, 24-7 in the championship match at 106 pounds. Chris Williams of Valentine defeated Cameron Brauer of Sidney in the 113 pound championship match. At 132, Gage Krolikowski of Valentine beat Koby Brandenburg of Central City, 39-4 in the championship match. Valentine’s Chase Olson was champion at 145 with his victory over Brody Raines of Sidney. Valentine’s Caleb Long won the 160 pound championship in Ainsworth as he beat Conner Halverson of Gordon-Rushville. Valentine’s Lane McGinley won the 170 pound championship as he beat Tristan Ahrendt of Sidney. JJ Beck of Burke/Gregory beat Dillon Kohl of Central City in the 182 pound championship match. Ainsworth’s Conner Jackman won the 195 pound championship over Nathan Hofrock of Sidney. Todd County’s William Marshall won the 220 pound championship over Hayden Hofrock of Sidney while Waylon Marshall of Todd County won the heavyweight championship over Ethan Dargatz of Burke/Gregory. Sidney won the team championship with 236.5 points while Valentine was second and Burke/Gregory finished third.
