Spencer Novotny’s Winner Area Wrestling team is having yet another tremendous season. Winner Area is coming off the Tri-Valley Invite in which five boys on the team won championships. Winner Area is ranked second in this week’s rankings. Tonight at the Winner Armory, Winner Area will battle Valentine, who is currently ranked number one in Class C in Nebraska, and are the two time state champions. According to the coaches, Winner Area has not lost a dual since January of 2017. On Friday, Winner Area will host another triangular before they host the Winner Invite on Saturday. Five of the top eleven teams will be in the tournament- Winner Area #2, Philip Area #3, Wagner #4, #7 Edgemont and #11 Burke/Gregory.
