The South Dakota High School State Golf Tournaments are in the books.
At the Girls State AA Tournament at Prairie Green in Sioux Falls,
Olivia Braun of Aberdeen Central was the medalist as she carded a 140 two day total. Aberdeen Central won the team title. Mitchell was second, Stevens third and O’Gorman was fourth.
At the Girls State A Tournament in Madison, Rylan Horning of St. Thomas More was the medalist as she carded a 157. Trey Speer was Chamberlain’s top golfer as she shot a 180. Winner Area’s top golfer was Gracie Root as she shot a 185. Her teammate, Ava Craven, shot a 191. St. Thomas More won the team title, while Sioux Falls Christian was second. Winner Area was eighth as a team and Chamberlain was ninth.
At the Girls State B Tournament in Watertown, Brynn Roehrich of Clark/Willow Lake was the medalist as she shot a 144. Mallory Gant of Platte/Geddes was 11th with a 174, while Olivia Bull of Burke shot a 185. Dell Rapids St. Mary’s won the team title, while Miller was runner up. Platte/Geddes was sixth as a team and Burke was eighth.
At the Boys State B Tournament in Watertown, Trevor Schulz of Wall was the medalist as he carded a 145. Bryson One Star of White River shot a 158, while Gregory’s Luke Stukel shot a 159. Hanson won the team title by one stroke over Wall.
