Tuesday’s State Golf results

The South Dakota High School State Golf Tournaments are in the books.

At the Girls State AA Tournament at Prairie Green in Sioux Falls,
Olivia Braun of Aberdeen Central was the medalist as she carded a 140 two day total. Aberdeen Central won the team title. Mitchell was second, Stevens third and O’Gorman was fourth.

At the Girls State A Tournament in Madison, Rylan Horning of St. Thomas More was the medalist as she carded a 157. Trey Speer was Chamberlain’s top golfer as she shot a 180. Winner Area’s top golfer was Gracie Root as she shot a 185. Her teammate, Ava Craven, shot a 191. St. Thomas More won the team title, while Sioux Falls Christian was second. Winner Area was eighth as a team and Chamberlain was ninth.

At the Girls State B Tournament in Watertown, Brynn Roehrich of Clark/Willow Lake was the medalist as she shot a 144. Mallory Gant of Platte/Geddes was 11th with a 174, while Olivia Bull of Burke shot a 185. Dell Rapids St. Mary’s won the team title, while Miller was runner up. Platte/Geddes was sixth as a team and Burke was eighth.

At the Boys State B Tournament in Watertown, Trevor Schulz of Wall was the medalist as he carded a 145. Bryson One Star of White River shot a 158, while Gregory’s Luke Stukel shot a 159. Hanson won the team title by one stroke over Wall.

Day 1 of South Dakota High School State Golf Tournaments are in the books from Monday.

In the Girls State B Tournament in Watertown, Brynn Roehrich of Clark/Willow Lake is atop the individual leaderboard after shooting a 72. Jayce Pugh of Miller is second after shooting a 73. Mallory Gant of Platte/Geddes is tied for 9th after shooting an 88. Dell Rapids Saint Mary’s is first in the team standings, Miller is second. Platte/Geddes is sixth as a team and Burke is 10th.

In the Girls State A Golf Tournament in Madison, Claire Crawford of Roncalli had the top score Monday as she carded a 76. Chamberlain’s Trey Speer shot a 90. Winner Area’s top golfer was Ava Craven as she carded a 97, while her teammate, Gracie Root, shot a 98. Vermillion has a one shot lead on Sioux Falls Christian in the team standings for the top spot, while Winner Area is 8th in the team standings and Chamberlain is 9th.

In the Boys State B Golf Tournament in Watertown, Alfie Henderson of Flandreau is atop the leaderboard after shooting a 71 Monday. Hanson is atop the team standings.

at the Early Bird Tournament Saturday at the Winner Country Club, the team of Justin Zeigler and Blake Bauer were victorious as they shot a 63.

at the Lake Platte Classic in Platte on Saturday, the team of Dawson and Rob Hoffman, along with Jared Severson and Karlie Cameron were the wining team as they shot a 61.

Winning the Valentine Fire Department Tournament at Frederick Peak in Valentine was the team of Jacob Fuehrer, Caden Stankowski, Jeromy Hand and Jacob Bell with a score of 59.
