Chamberlain Volleyball Scrimmage 29th

The Twins beat the Tigers 7-4 increasing their division lead to 3.5 games.

The Chamberlain Lady Cubs will hold a volleyball scrimmage on Thursday and they ask that you bring a can of non perishable food to the event. First serve is at 5:30.

On Friday catch some more high school football as on country 1260 Scott Schramm will have St. Thomas Moore vs Winner starting at 6:30 with pregame. Then on the FM dial Ryan Strodtbeck will have Colome at Tripp Delmont AC/DC

Winner Regional’s Labor Day Road Race is right around the corner on Monday September 2. Start your Labor Day off right by participating in the 5k or 1 mile race or the more relaxed 2 mile fun walk. Sign-in and registration begins at 7:15 AM in the west parking lot of Winner Regional and race time is 8:00 AM sharp. Race will be over in plenty of time to enjoy the Labor Day Parade.

Winner Community Playhouse Presents “Crazy Quilt Club”

8th Annual Dakota Western Heritage Festival

The 8th annual Dakota Western Heritage Festival is taking place on September 13th, 14th, and 15th at the Expo Center in Fort Pierre, South Dakota.  Events will include a Wagon Train and Trail Ride , a Steak Feed hosted by the Hayes Fire Department, and a lot of entertainment with music and poetry performances.  For more information call Carmen Cowan Magee at 605-280-8938.

Chamberlain and Valentine Golf Results

Yesterday’s Results:

In the O’Neill Girls Golf Tournament Norfolk Catholic took the overall top team spot, meanwhile Valentine placed third  overall with a score of 440.

For the Individuals Abby Brodersen of Boone Central was the top golfer and shot an 80. For Valentine Ramsey Ravenscroft shot a 101 and finished 7th. Shauna Radant shot a 104 for 8th place and Becca McGinley shot a 115 to finish in top 20.

Chamberlain Boys Golf was at Mobridge Pollock and Cameroon Caldwell, Dayton Priebe, and Max Kelsey shot 80,82, and 91 respectively and finished 2nd,3rd, and 4th overall. In the three team meet Chamberlain finished first shooting a 349 as a team.

Chances are 1 for $2.00,3 for $5 or $20 for a whole book. The drawing for tonights home game will take place at noon, today at Bankwest in Gregory. All proceeds go back into supporting youth athletics in the Gregory community.

Gregory Athletics Club Selling Chances for Private Stadium Booths

The Gregory Athletics Club is once again selling chances on private stadium booths to all Gorilla home High School, Junior Varsity, and Middle School games.

Chances are 1 for $2.00, 3 for $5.00, and $20.00 for a whole book.  The drawing for Friday night’s home game will take place at 12 PM at Bankwest in Gregory.  To buy or reserve chances one can contact Bankwest at 835-9692 or First Fidelity at 835-9627. Also one can contact any athletics club board member. All proceeds go back into supporting youth athletics in the Gregory community.
