Kevin Graesser Memorial Golf Tournament set for June 3rd in Burke

The 3rd Annual Kevin Graesser Memorial Golf Tournament will take place on Saturday, June 3rd at the Burke Golf Course with a 10am shotgun start. It will be a two person scramble format and the cost is $140 per team. It is limited to the first 60 teams who get signed up. There will be two pin prizes on each hole. To signup, call Austin Calhoon at 840 6245, or Tarell Bauld at 830 4565.

Highlights from Monday

In Girls Golf on Monday, Chamberlain and Winner Area traveled to Hartford for the West Central Invite. Sioux Falls Christian’s Tori Peterson was the medalist with a 75. Chamberlain’s Alexis Cronk placed sixth with an 85. Winner Area’s Gracie Root was 18th with an 89. Sioux Falls Christian won the team title. Winner Area was seventh as a team while Chamberlain was tenth.

 

In Softball Monday, Winner Area defeated Wagner, 10-9. Bon Homme defeated Winner Area, 15-5.

 

In Amateur Baseball Monday, Winner/Colome defeated Tabor, 8-6.

Valentine Main Street Project Update

The closure at the intersection of HWY 83 & Main Street, west toward Cherry Street, will be opened to traffic. HWY 12 traffic will be directed to the Cherry Street Detour along with the HWY 83 traffic. Main Street will remain open with periodic closures.

Expect Traffic Signals on 2nd & 3rd Street to be operational, paint lines placed, and some street signs placed.

IES will build the last footings and wiring for street lights.

Barnes Construction will finish their removals and misc. work.

Paulsen Construction is wrapping up concrete placement. Driveways and sidewalks will be finished this week with some misc. work remaining for the following week.
