The final Colome area Farmers Market is taking place tomorrow, September 26th from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m at the Colome city park. Local offerings included at the market will be home-grown produce, handmade breads, jams, jellies, baked goods, hand-crafted items, prepped meals, eggs, and several more items.

Tripp County Special Election Results
The Tripp County Tax Levy special election results are in which were held at all of the Tripp County voting precincts. The vote was in favor of not having the tax levy with a majority of votes against the levy at 582 and 221 for it.
The vote was to determine if there would be an annual tax levy for Tripp County residents that would go to maintaining, repairing, constructing, and reconstructing roads and bridges in Tripp County.

Valentine City Council Meeting
The Valentine City Council will meet on Thursday, October 10th. The meeting will take place in the meeting room of the Valentine Public Library at 7 p.m. The City Council meets on the second Thursday of each month.
Chamberlain Senior Center Ice Cream and Pie Social
The Chamberlain Senior Center will hold an Ice Cream and Pie Social on Friday, September 27th which will follow the homecoming parade. Food served will consist of brats and burgers right off the grill for $5.00 and nachos for $3.00. All proceeds will benefit the Chamberlain Senior Center.
Gregory County Court House Public Meeting
A public meeting will be held on September 30th at 7 p.m. in the Gregory County Court House where a draft plan of the five year road plan will be presented. Burke School Day Schedule Adjusted
The Burke school has announced that their school day calendar has been adjusted with seven days added to the calendar in order to make up for the two weeks that were lost in the delayed school start due to the Tornado.
January 20th, 2020 will now be a regular school day and May 20th, 21st, 22nd, 26th, and 27th will all be regular school days. This is in order to meet the minimum number of instructional days mandated by South Dakota state law. Graduation will still be held on May 16, 2020.
Winner Community Blood Drive
Blood drives are taking place next week in Winner, South Dakota. Two blood drives will happen; one on Monday, September 24th and the second on Tuesday September 25th. Both will be held at the Winner City office in the main room. For any questions please contact Annette Rosenberg at 842-1708.
