The two films now playing at the State Theater in Chamberlain, South Dakota are “Dora and the Lost City of Gold” and “The Art of Running in the Rain”. Both films are running through Thursday, September 19th. Dora runs at 5pm and “The Art of Running in the Rain” runs at 7:30 pm.

NO SCHOOL TODAY FOR BURKE AND GREGORY
There is no school today for Burke and Gregory Schools due to flooding and impassable roads. Kimball- White Lake is also pushed back an hour today and Platte-Geddes will have a 10 AM start time this morning. Due to the large amount of rain that has come in the last two days, roads have been flooded. Meaning that school buses and other vehicles are unable to get to where they need to be. This has led to the closing of schools in our area.
Informational Meeting Tonight at the Community Room, Tripp County Court House
An informational meeting will take place at 6 PM in the community room at the Tripp County Court House. Greg Vavra, program manager for S.D.L.T.A.P from South Dakota State University will be joining the commissioners to inform the public on a proposed tax levy.

Another night of severe weather hit central South Dakota and north Central Nebraska last night which included hail, high winds, rain and a tornado. Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for nearly all of our central South Dakota and Nebraska counties. Power was lost south of Winner as well as in north central Nebraska.
