The 56th Annual Fall Convention Outdoor Expo will be taking place this Friday from 12 PM to 6 PM and Saturday 8 AM to 6 PM at the Tripp County 4-H Center in Winner.  This will include vendors, displays and demonstrations.

Rahn Bertram with RAE- Hybrids will have a test plot tour on Wednesday Sept. 11th at 11 AM at the plot a quarter mile North West of Hansen Mueller on Hwy 18 in Colome.  There will be a Lunch provided at the Colome Park after the plot tour. Contact Rahn Bertram 840-2072 for details.

Winner School Homecoming week will take place on the week of Monday, September 23rd to welcome Winner alumni. The week will consist of fun filled activities for students, alumni and the community. This year’s theme will be “Home Sweet Homecoming”.

A benefit supper and “pie” auction will be held to help defray medical costs for Colby Kaiser on Wednesday, September 18th at the “old MS gym” in Winner, SD.  Doors will open at 5 PM and loaded baked potatoes will be served starting at 5:30 PM with the auction following at 7 PM.  Donations can be made by contacting Shawna at 605-208-0027.

The Winner Resource Center for Families is hosting an informational meeting and luncheon on Wednesday, October 9th from 12 PM to 1 PM. The topic at hand will be on human trafficking which will include guest speaker Becky Rasmussen of Call To Freedom.

The old Shopko store on King St. in Chamberlain, South Dakota is going to be replaced with Ace Plus which will offer many of the same products as Shopko provided to customers.  The owner will be Bill Bregar from Lander, Wyoming making this his 7th of currently 8 owned Ace stores in South Dakota and surrounding states.  A soft start opening date is planned for December 1st, 2019.

Beginning next week, on Monday, September 9th, Accent Florals in Winner, SD will have their fall store hours in place.  Fall hours will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM as well as on Saturdays for sympathy needs. Accent Florals is located on 501 Main St, Winner, SD 57580.

The 2019 Nebraska State Rodeo  Association’s Championship will take place on September 6th through the 8th in Valentine, Nebraska.  The top Cowboys and Cowgirls will be competing with several other family fun events taking place over the weekend.
