Gregory Athletics Club Selling Chances for Private Stadium Booths

The Gregory Athletics Club is once again selling chances on private stadium booths to all Gorilla home High School, Junior Varsity, and Middle School games.

Chances are 1 for $2.00, 3 for $5.00, and $20.00 for a whole book.  The drawing for Friday night’s home game will take place at 12 PM at Bankwest in Gregory.  To buy or reserve chances one can contact Bankwest at 835-9692 or First Fidelity at 835-9627. Also one can contact any athletics club board member. All proceeds go back into supporting youth athletics in the Gregory community.

Chip Sealing for Winner City Streets Scheduled for Thursday, August 22nd

Notice from the City of Winner: The following streets are scheduled to be chip sealed on Thursday, August 22nd.  The city requests that all parked vehicles, trailers, etc. be removed  by 8 AM on Thursday.

East 7th St. from Highway 18 to Country Club Rd.

West 7th St. from Lamro to South County Rd.

West 6th St. from Lamro to South County Rd.

Liberty St. from Highway 44 to Dakota St.

Winner Pink Posse Annual Fundraiser

The Winner Area Pink Posse will be hosting their annual fundraising event on Saturday, September 7th at St. Mary’s Hall in Winner.  The entertainment will consist of comedian and motivational speaker, Carla Youngblood with tickets available at the door.  Doors open at 5:00 PM with the speaker starting at 7:00 PM.

Power Conservation Needed in Burke

Rosebud Electric is asking for all residents of Burke to conserve power. The City of Burke is being back fed and it is just about at its capacity. Fuses could start blowing if power is not conserved. This warning is in effect until the end of August. Residents are advised to turn up their thermostats and open open windows in the evenings.

Cowboy College: September 5th

The first annual Cowboy College is on September 5th at the Holiday Inn Express in Winner, South Dakota.  Many industry representatives will be attending and discussing livestock topics including the latest on the industry’s latest software analytics as well as several other hot topics in the industry.
