It’s the final day of Crazy Days in Valentine today. The Main Street construction has made it a bit tricky to plan, but plans are in place.  Several businesses are doing Crazy Days promotions today. They will have the Shopping Spree promotion today, customers just need to put their name and telephone number on the back of their receipts at participating businesses and put them in for a drawing.

The City of Winner will hold their regular city council meeting this evening at at the Winner City council chambers at 6:30p.m.  Please note the City of Winner meets on the first and third Monday of each month unless otherwise specified.

The City of Gregory will hold their first meeting of the month tomorrow night (Monday)  at 6:00 p.m. at Gregory City Hall located at 120 West 6th Street.  Please note the City of Gregory meets on the first and third Monday of each month.

The 10th Annual Barbeque Pitt Row and the Classic Car Show will take place on Main Street in Winner, South Dakota today. They are looking for volunteers to help with tickets. Please contact the Chamber Office if you are interested at 842-1533.

Thiel’s Collision Center in Chamberlain, S.D. is inviting everyone to attend their 60 year anniversary celebration this evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 300 N. Main Street.  There will be door prizes, food, refreshments and entertainment.

Next year’s work has started. When this project was let for bidding, the construction scheduling had a start date of 04/01/2022 with a contract time of 215 working days. Phase 3 work was scheduled to be completed in 2023.  Today is working day 88.

 Midlands contracting is continuing utilities work between A Street and Hwy 20. Water Mains and Sanitary Sewer Mains are being placed. All Phase 3 work.

Paulsen Construction will continue placing sidewalks on the 200 block of Main Street into next week. The 2^nd Street intersection is to be open to cross traffic soon and some mainline roadway is scheduled to be placed this week.

 IES Construction company continues working on conduit and wiring for Traffic Signals and street lighting. A lot more work needed.

The Todd County Fair will take Thursday August 4th through Saturday, August 6th. Registration for all entries begins Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday will consist of many activities such as a 4-H horse show, bingo, dog show,  a 5k road race/2 mile walk and more.  With questions one can call Ron Frederick at 605-848-0125.
