In Little League Baseball last night, the Burke Rookies defeated Winner Purple, 6-0. The Burke Minors were able to hold off Winner Purple 5-4 while the Winner Purple Majors defeated Burke, 11-5. The Clearfield Minors were victorious over Colome, 8-2 and the Clearfield Majors scored an 11-1 win over Colome. The Winner Gold Majors beat Mission, 17-8. The Gregory Minors defeated Lyman, 14-1. In Junior Legion Baseball on Tuesday, Wagner defeated Winner/Colome, 5-4.

Father's Day weekend baseball tournament to happen Saturday and Sunday

The annual Winner Junior Teener Father’s Day weekend tournament will get underway Saturday! Opening Round games will be held in Winner and Colome before all teams make their way to Winner. Here is the schedule for Saturday: 10am in Colome, Parkston plays Gregory followed by Wagner taking on Colome. At 10am in Winner, Hamlin plays Platte followed by Onida vs Winner at noon. The losers of the 10am games play at Leahy Bowl at 2pm and the winners of the 10amgames play at 6pm. The losers of the noon games play at 4pm and the winners of the noon games play at 8. We will have coverage on Magic 93 of all games at Leahy Bowl this weekend that feature Winner, Colome and Gregory.

In girls softball last night, the Burke 14U team beat Chamberlain, 20-7. The Platte 12U girls were able to hold off Gregory, 8-7. The Clearfield 10U team defeated Colome, 5-1 while the Clearfield 12U girls beat Colome, 9-6. In Teener Baseball last night, Platte defeated Corsica, 13-3. The Emery Junior Teeners were victorious over Kimball/White Lake, 9-6. The Emery Teener team beat Kimball/White Lake, 12-7. In Legion Baseball last night, Wessington Springs and Chamberlain split their doubleheader as Springs won game number one, 6-2 while Chamberlain won game two, 8-3.

Golf tournaments coming up this weekend

WE HAVE MORE GOLF TOURNAMENTS COMING UP IN THE AREA THIS WEEKEND! FRIDAY,  THE BROWN COUNTY HOSPITAL 4 PERSON SCRAMBLE WILL BE HELD IN AINSWORTH. SATURDAY, A LADIES TWO PERSON BEST BALL WILL HAPPEN IN CHAMBERLAIN. SUNDAY, THE FATHER’S DAY OPEN AT THE GREGORY GOLF COURSE. GOOD LUCK THIS WEEKEND GOLFERS!

Little League Baseball from Friday

In Little League Baseball last night, the Clearfield Minors defeated Valentine, 4-3. Derek Fenenga was the winning pitcher. The Clearfield Majors scored a 10-2 victory over Valentine as Zac Olsen was the winning pitcher. The Gregory Minors beat Winner Gold, 5-1. The Colome Minors were victorious over Lyman, 9-7. The Gregory Majors beat Winner Purple, 10-4. The Gregory 1 Rookies shutout Winner Gold, 4-0.
