The Chamberlain school district bond election takes place today in all voting precincts in the Chamberlain school district. Election polls are open from7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The purpose of this election is to decide if a 5 and a half million-dollar bond for several school improvements will be issued or denied.
Polling locations include the Chamberlain Community Center, the Fort Thompson Community Center, and the Oacoma Community Center.

The Gregory School District will hold their board of education meeting tomorrow night at Gregory High School at 5:30 p.m. Please note that the Gregory School Board meets on the second Monday every each month.
The Nebraska state rodeo association finals kicked off yesterday and return tonight at 6:00 p.m. and then on Sunday at 1pm at the Cherry County fairgrounds in Valentine, Nebraska. One can visit www.nebraskarodeo.com for further details.

Agrimax and West River AG will hold a customer appreciation open house at the East Shop on Harvest Road on tomorrow. Social hour will begin at 4:00 p.m. and the customer appreciation dinner will follow afterwards.
The Chamberlain City Commision will meet tomorrow evening (Wednesday) at 5:00 p.m. at the Chamberlain High School for an event regarding new additions to the school. Afterwards they will head to the Chamberlain City Offices for their regular meeting.
The City of Winner will hold their City Council meeting tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. at the Winner City Council Chambers at 6:30 p.m. Please note that the meeting is put back an extra day due to today’s holiday.
Plan on the removal of some traffic control at the intersection of HWY 20 & Main. The closed westbound lane will be opened to allow (2) lane westbound traffic.
Paulsen Construction will continue sidewalk placement and the placement of concrete in the areas between the sidewalks and curb sections. Next week grading will begin for roadway placement starting at the cowboy trail working toward HWY 20. During the week expect some of the Paulsen crew to be off the IN VALENTINE project and to continue placing concrete for the B STREET project (City of Valentine). Barnes Construction will continue with sidewalk removals and the construction of various project items.
Midlands Contracting will wrap up their scheduled utility work for the Main Street portion next week. Expect the contractor to mobilize off the project at the end of the week. Wow, next year’s utility work is complete, in August! Job well done by professionals.
