Friends of Brian Schrader benefit to happen May 24th in Colome

A FRIENDS OF BRIAN SCHRADER BENEFIT WILL HAPPEN ON MAIN STREET IN COLOME ON MAY 24TH BEGINNING AT NOON. THERE WILL BE A SILENT AND LIVE AUCTION, ALONG WITH FOOD VENDORS SETUP, ALONG WITH LIVE MUSIC AND CORN HOLE GOING ON. MONETARY DONATIONS CAN BE MADE AT BANKWEST. DONATION ITEMS CAN BE DROPPED OFF AT DAN’S LAST SHOT IN COLOME AND ALSO AT MARDI PEDERSON’S SHOP. THERE WILL ALSO BE PLENTY GOING ON FOR THE EVENT AT THE COLOME LEGION, AND AT THE FRONTIER BAR IN COLOME TOO.

Justin Zeigler of Winner won the 1 person scramble Saturday that took place at the Lake Platte Golf Course in Platte as he shot a 56.

 

Track and Field

The Howard Wood Relays wrapped up Saturday afternoon in Sioux Falls for Track and Field. Winner’s Jaxon Day won the boys discus with a throw of 174-11. Lucas Fischer of Grand Forks Central was runner up with a throw of 171-08. Winner’s Legend Benedict was third with a throw of 168-08. The Kimball/White Lake boys placed fifth in the boys class B 4X4 relay. In the boys class B 4×1 relay, Gregory placed sixth. Jones County’s BreAna Aske was tenth in the girls 400. Gregory’s Colt Keiser placed sixth in the boys 300 hurdles. The Chamberlain girls finished 9th in the class A sprint medley relay. The Gregory boys placed fifth in the boys class b sprint medley relay.

Girls Golf

At the Middle School/JV Invite at the Winner Country Club on Friday, Winner Area’s Claire Pravecek was the medalist shooting a 51. Creed Harmon of Chamberlain was runner up with a 56. Sophia Simonsen of Chamberlain placed third by carding a 56. Leticia Fernandes of Winner Area was fourth with a 61. Kenli Pollard of Winner Area rounded out the top five by shooting a 63.

 

Track and Field

At the Howard Wood Relays in Sioux Falls on day 1,

The Kimball/White Lake girls placed fifth in the Class B 4 x 8 relay in a time of 10:20:05. The KImball/White Lake boys finished runner up in the Class B 4 x 2 relay in a time of 1:32:88. George Little Rock was first in a time of 1:31:61.The Chamberlain girls finished seventh in the Class A 4 x 8 relay in a time of 10:02:06. Gregory’s Dani VanDerWerff placed eighth in the girls javelin with a throw of 118-02.
