Day 1 State Golf results

The State ‘A’ Boys Golf Tournament will resume at 9am this morning in Dell Rapids. Brock Murphy of Tea Area enters day two with the top score with a 75. Chamberlain’s Cameron Caldwell is five shots off the lead after he carded an 80 on Monday as he enter days two tied for eighth place. Todd County’s Bryce Hammer shot a 90 yesterday while Gage Watson of Winner Area carded a 100. Dakota Valley leads the team standings, three strokes ahead of Tea Area.

SESD Cross Country results from Monday

The SESD Cross Country Meet was held on Monday in Plankinton. Caden Tegethoff of Platte/Geddes won the boys race. Burke’s Jackson Liewer was runner up while Kade Watson of Winner Area placed third. Ella Byers of Chamberlain won the girls race while Sidda Schuyler of Winner Area was runner up.

College Football coverage for this weekend

College Football coverage will be on Magic 93 Saturday when the South Dakota State Jackrabbits play Indiana State at 6pm in Brookings. Doski’s prelude to the pre-game will kickoff our coverage at 5:30. On 1260 Saturday, Nebraska will go for their first win of the season when they play in Camp Randall against the Wisconsin Badgers at 6:30. The Scott Frost Pre-Game Show will kickoff our coverage at 5:45.

Winner girls CC team victorious in Burke

The Winner Area Girls Cross Country team won the Burke Invite on Thursday as they scored 25 team points. Sidda Schuyler won the girls race. Kimball/White Lake’s Sidney McCord finished fourth overall while Gregory’s Emma Thomas came in seventh. Thaniel Schroeder of Freeman Academy/Marion won the boys race. Jackson Liewer of Burke finished fifth while Gage Watson of Winner was seventh.

College Football on 1260 and Magic 93 this weekend
