The Parkston/Pre-Region Golf Invite was held Tuesday in Mitchell. Chamberlain finished third as a team behind Mitchell and Parkston. Chamberlain’s Cameron Caldwell won a playoff hole over Mitchell’s Ethan Huber after both guys shot a tournament best, 75. Chamberlain’s Drayton Priebe finished third overall. Bryce Hammer of Todd County was 11th. Thomas Denoyer of St. Francis finished 17th while Gage Watson was Winner Area’s top golfer as he was 29th.

The Bon Homme Cross Country Invite took place on Monday in Tyndall. The boys race was won by Alec Atwood of Beresford. Locally, Caden Tegethoff of Platte/Geddes finished third. The girls race was won by Maddy Fairley of Gayville-Volin while Gregory’s Emma Thomas placed fourth. Hartington-Newcastle won the girls team title while Beresford won the boys title.

Friday night we will provide you with coverage of two very intriguing games on our airwaves- Gregory at Bon Homme and MVP at Winner. The Gorillas are the top ranked team in 9AA and are unbeaten this season. The Cavaliers only have one loss and have been ranked for most of the season. Pre-game coverage from Tyndall on Friday night will start at 6:25 on Magic 93. On Country 1260, the Winner Warriors will host unbeaten Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Homecoming Night at Warrior Field. MVP has dominated their opposition all season long while Winner continues to play good football. Scott and Brett will have pre-game coverage starting at around 6:25 on 1260.
