The Gregory Junior Teener Baseball team will play in the Class ‘B’ Junior Teener State Championship game this evening against Alexandria at 5pm! Gregory beat Tyndall in the semifinal round last night, 9-3. Gregory had a big fifth inning as they scored seven runs. Alexandria was victorious over Woonsocket/Wessington Springs in their semifinal matchup. Our coverage on Magic 93 today will start at 11:35 as Winner plays Canova for the consolation championship at Noon. Winner beat Garretson yesterday, 14-3.

The Class B State Junior Teener Baseball Tournament got underway in Gregory yesterday. Alexandria was victorious over Garretson in game one. Game two went to Woonsocket/Wessington Springs as they beat Winner, 6-2. Game three was won by Tyndall as they defeated Canova, 6-2. Gregory won the nightcap over Redfield, 9-4. Today at noon, Garretson will play Winner followed by Redfield against Canova. At 5:30, Alexandria will square off against Woonsocket/Wessington Springs followed by Gregory against Tyndall. At the Region 7B Legion Tournament Friday in Spearfish, Winner/Colome defeated Martin in game one, 10-0 in five innings. In game two, Spearfish beat Gregory County in five innings, 16-1. Winner/Colome will play Spearfish at 3pm today. Gregory County plays Martin at 5:30. In the Region 5B Legion Tournament Friday, Baltic beat Chamberlain, 7-0. In Region 4B, Platte/Geddes beat Scotland/Menno, 17-5. Platte/Geddes will play against Tabor at 3pm today. In the Sunshine League Amateur Baseball Tournament last night in Platte, the Parkston Mudcats beat Corsica/Stickney, 10-2.

In the Region 5B Legion Baseball Tournament last night, Humboldt/Hartford beat Chamberlain, 13-6. Jacob Mutziger led Chamberlain at the plate with two hits. Chamberlain will play in an elimination game at 1pm today against Wessington Springs, who lost to McCook/Miner last night, 17-2. In the Region 4B Legion Tournament in Yankton on Thursday, Platte/Geddes was victorious over Corsica/Stickney, 10-5. Seth Kirsch hit a homerun in the victory while Chase Pheifer was the winning pitcher. Platte/Geddes will play at 3pm today in Tabor against Scotland/Menno. In the District 5B Amateur Baseball Tournament last night in Platte, there were a couple of shutouts by the top two seeds. Alexandria no-hit Mount Vernon as the Angels won in seven innings, 14-0. Winner/Colome was victorious in game two over Wagner, 15-0 in six innings. Connor Hopkins earned the win on the mound as he struck out twelve. Reed Harter had three hits for the Pheasants.

AT 3PM, PLATTE WILL PLAY CORSICA/STICKNEY FOLLOWED BY TABOR VS PARKSTON. WAGNER WILL PLAY THE WINNER OF GAME TWO AT 7PM. AT LEAHY BOWL LAST NIGHT, THE PLATTE TEENERS DEFEATED WINNER, 3-1.

The Sunshine Amateur League Postseason Baseball Tournament will get underway tomorrow night in Platte. In game one at 6pm, top seeded Alexandria will battle eight seeded Mt. Vernon. The two seeded Winner/Colome Pheasants will play in game two at around 8 against seven seeded Wagner. The tournament will continue on Friday when Parkston plays Corsica/Stickney at 6pm followed by Dimock/Emery battling Platte. The tournament will wrap up next week.
