In Junior Teener Baseball on Wednesday, Gregory defeated Winner,13-2. Winner/Colome was victorious over Gregory in the Junior Legion game, 8-2. In Amateur Baseball last night, the Winner/Colome Pheasants defeated the South Central Storm, 13-0 as Austin Richey and Derek Graesser hit homeruns. Major League Baseball from the Fourth of July, the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Minnesota Twins, 3-2.

In Junior Teener Baseball on Tuesday, Platte defeated Corsica by a final score of  8-3. In Teener Baseball last night, Platte defeated Corsica, 14-7. The Emery Teeners were able to shutout Kimball/White Lake, 2-0. In amateur baseball, the Platte Killer Tomatoes were able to hold off Corsica/Stickney, 5-3.

Coming up on the Fourth of July, a three person scramble will be held at the Medicine Creek Golf Course near Presho. Shotgun start will be at 11am. To reserve a spot and a cart call 895-2659. We have more golf tournaments coming up this weekend as well as the Medicine Creek Golf Course and the Murdo Golf Course will team up for the Lyman/Jones County two man scramble on Saturday. 9 holes will be played at both courses. Also on Saturday is the Winner Country Club’s four person scramble that will start at 11am. The tournament is sponsored by Budweiser, Pepsi, Jorgensen’s and Grossenburg’s.

Legion Baseball was held at Leahy Bowl on Saturday as Winner/Colome fell to Parkston, 1-0. The Royals were able to defeat Wagner, 7-1.  Night two of the Minors Little League Baseball Tournament was held in Gregory last night. Clearfield beat Winner, Purple in the semifinals, 4-2 while Valentine beat Gregory 1, 3-2 to advance to the championship game for tonight. In the consolation semis, Burke beat Colome, 3-1 while Winner Gold beat Mission, 11-0.

Winner/Colome vs Sioux Falls Brewers at Cadwell Park in Mitchell

Night 1 of the Minors Little League Baseball Tournament was held Friday in Gregory. In the play-in game, Valentine defeated Lyman, 3-1. In the first round, Gregory 1 beat Colome 6-2 while Winner Purple beat Mission, 7-3. Valentine was victorious over Burke, 8-4 and Clearfield beat Winner Gold, 9-1.
