The 2nd annual Charles Mix County Saddle Club SDRA Rodeo will happen July 20th through the 22nd in Geddes! The event is sponsored by the Charles Mix Saddle Club and many local businesses. The start time for each of the three nights will be 7pm. Slack will start at 9am on Saturday morning. Tickets are twelve dollars in advance and will be fifteen at the gate. No coolers please.

In Legion Baseball last night, Platte/Geddes defeated Winner/Colome by a final of 10-9. Seth Kirsch had the winning hit in the seventh inning while Dylan Mohnen drove in three runs and picked up the win on the mound. Jackson Kinzer led Winner/Colome at the plate as he drove in three. At the Junior Teener Tournament in Platte on Tuesday, Gregory defeated Platte/Geddes, 8-4 in game one. Game two was won by Winner as they came from behind to defeat Kimball/White Lake 12-11. Today at 3pm, Winner will play Platte/Geddes in an elimination game. Gregory will play the winner of that game at 6pm. If Gregory wins then they will be crowned region champions. In Amateur Baseball last night, Plankinton defeated the South Central Storm, 10-1 and Wagner edged Platte, 3-2.

The Class B Southwest Junior Teener Regional Baseball Tournament continued on Monday in Platte. Mount Vernon/Plankinton defeated Colome in the first game of the day, 12-5. Game two was won by Parkston as they beat Corsica, 9-8. Kimball/White Lake was able to outscore Mount Vernon/Plankinton in game three while Winner was able to take down Parkston, 12-11.

State Softball will get underway on Friday morning in Sioux Falls. Locally, in the 12U C Division at 12:30, Platte vs play Vermillion while Burke will face Brookings. In the 14U C Tournament, Gregory will play the Dells Whiplash at 9:30am and Burke will play at 3:30 against an opponent to be determined that morning. In the 16U C Tournament, Gregory will play the Sioux Falls Inferno at 11am. In the 18U C Tournament on Friday at 12:30, Winner will play Chaos.

In amateur baseball last night, Chamberlain was able to get a road win over Kimball/White Lake, 6-3. In Legion Baseball at Leahy Bowl, Winner/Colome defeated Valentine, 5-2. The Mission Junior Teeners were victorious on the road over Winner by a final score of 10-5.
